Valincidenten bij mannen leiden vaker tot ernstig hoofdletsel.\u00a0Vrouwen lopen vaker botbreuken op. Bij het ouder worden verliezen we veel spierkracht. Vrouwen hebben ook vaker chronische ziekten en gebruiken\u00a0vaker medicijnen\u00a0en daardoor is de kans op vallen groter bij vrouwen.\u00a0Ook botontkalking speelt een rol.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Door spierkracht weer op te bouwen,\u00a0co\u00f6rdinatie\u00a0en balans te trainen dragen we bij om\u00a0het valrisico\u00a0te verlagen. Samen met o.a. de gemeente Buren en de GGD (Gelderland-Zuid)&nbsp;en Huisartsenpraktijk&nbsp;Engelschhof,&nbsp;Fysiopraktijk Huib van Andel en andere (welzijn)&nbsp;organisaties en&nbsp;lokale beweegaanbieders&nbsp;zijn valpreventieprogramma\u2019s&nbsp;opgezet en succesvol gestart. Tijdens de griepvaccinatie&nbsp;kon men worden gescreend&nbsp;op valrisico.&nbsp;De bereidheid was&nbsp;groots en inmiddels zijn er verschillende groepen gestart&nbsp;in het Klokhuis in Maurik. De gemeente heeft voor 2025 de cursus gratis aangeboden&nbsp;in het Klokhuis&nbsp;voor inwoners&nbsp;inclusief een cursusboek wat als naslagwerk&nbsp;dient met fotoreportages van de oefeningen.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We willen dat iedereen&nbsp;in onze gemeente zelfstandig kan blijven bewegen. Dit doen we vooral door effectief in beweging te blijven, elkaar te motiveren en de juiste ondersteuning te bieden.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In&nbsp;Balans is een groepsinterventie gericht op het voorkomen van valongevallen bij ouderen door middel van bewustwording van risicofactoren en verbetering van balans, mobiliteit en toename van zelfvertrouwen en ontspanning.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In Balans bestaat uit voorlichting en een beweegprogramma en wordt uitgevoerd door professionals die daarvoor speciaal getraind worden.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In Balans richt zich op zelfstandig wonende ouderen van 65 jaar en ouder die zich onzeker voelen tijdens het lopen, bang zijn om te vallen en\/of vaker zijn gevallen.<\/span><span
